The Breed

The American Landrace is a medium to large breed of domestic pig, white in color, with long bodies, fine hair, long snouts, and heavy, drooping ears. All our babies are different individuals but we find this breed to be very demanding for affection in between sunny naps.

Did you notice the color of the button? Everyone is an individual here at the Pig Preserve and when you learn more about each resident you will also understand who they spend their time with. We encourage everyone to develop their own relationships and the colors are the communities they develop on their own. Take a look at the different neighborhoods we have at the Pig Preserve here!
